Panattoni Investment Management sits alongside, yet independent from, the long-established Panattoni development business in Europe. Panattoni has for many years been the largest developer of industrial and logistics real estate in Europe. It now has 39 offices in 16 countries, expanding steadily since its formation in 1986. Nick Preston Head of Investment Management

Nick Preston is a specialist European real estate investment manager with particular expertise in the industrial and logistics sectors. He was previously CEO of Tritax EuroBox plc, the FTSE 250 listed pan-European logistics investor. Between 2012 and 2016 Nick broadened his European experience at Grosvenor Fund Management, helping grow the business, particularly in the Nordics. Before that, he was instrumental in growing CBRE Investment Management’s UK business.

Nick will take an opportunistic approach at Panattoni Investment Management, seeking discretionary mandates that allow him to react quickly to opportunities as they arise. Investment decisions will also be informed by a deep-rooted ESG focus.

Tim Thorp Head of Finance and Operations

Tim has over 25 years of experience in the private equity real estate sector. He joined PIM from InfraRed Capital Partners, where he was COO of its European private equity real estate business.

Tim worked at InfraRed from its inception as head of finance, where he was instrumental in building out its funds management operation platform in Europe. Since 2008, he was part of the senior leadership team for the European real estate team, where he led on finance and operations, fund and investment structuring, debt financing and management, and corporate transactions. Tim was a member of real estate executive and investment committees involved in business management, investment selection and monitoring, and funds’ performance.

Tim is a chartered accountant of the ICAEW and, before joining InfraRed, worked for Deloitte’s financial services client group.

Tim will work with Nick to establish a best-in-class fund investment management platform, leading on financial management and fund operations.
